Common questions
Asked by people who tried everything
Years of the same worries from stiff necks, side sleepers and skeptics. Answered straight.
Most morning stiffness comes from hours with your neck bent out of line. This pillow returns your neck and shoulders to their natural position and holds them there all night. Muscles that have been bracing can finally let go, which is what eases the tension and, over time, the neck and shoulder pain that comes with it. Most people feel the difference within the first week.
Flat pillows collapse or pile up under your head. This one is molded into 4 zones: a head cradle, raised side wings, a neck-to-shoulder curve and arm room. The foam is premium slow-rebound memory foam, a blend of selected natural rubber and other comfort materials, and the shape holds for years.
Start on the high side if you sleep on your side or have broad shoulders. Rotate the pillow to use the low side if you sleep on your back with a smaller frame, or on your stomach. Every body is different, so try each side for a few nights: the right side is the one that feels right for you.
Yes, on the low side. Its center sits at 8 cm, close to flat, so your head stays level and your neck does not twist upward. Most stomach sleepers settle in within a few nights on that side.
Medium, and tuned by us on purpose. The slow-rebound foam gives under your head over a few seconds, then holds. We tested this feel against real sleep positions until it was soft where you land and steady where your neck rests. It does not feel like a slab.
3 to 7 nights. Your neck and shoulders have spent years in a posture that is not their natural one, so they need a few nights to settle back into place. The first nights can feel unfamiliar. That is the alignment taking hold.
Yes, a faint scent at first, from the natural rubber in the foam. Leave the pillow in a ventilated room and it fades within a few days. It is the material, not a flaw.
The cover is soft, breathable cotton, so air keeps moving over your skin. The foam supports you without wrapping you.
5 to 12 days depending on your region. We ship worldwide.
If your pillow arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, we replace it. You're covered for 12 months: if it loses its shape in that time, we swap it. Send us a video and a photo, plus your order number. We answer fast and stay with you until it is sorted.

My husband's been using it for a month and hasn't complained once, which for him is basically a rave review haha
m_holloway
Pillow is good, firm, holds my head where it should. Getting it here was the slow part, nearly two weeks, and it smelled like rubber for a day or two. Support answered fast when I asked about the delay. Just wanted it sooner.
Morncrest replied
Thanks for the fair read, and sorry the wait ran long. Firm and holding your head where it should is the job, so we'll take that.

If you're small like me get the lower side. Every regular pillow I've owned shoves my chin down toward my chest, even the thin ones. Second night I slept clean through to the alarm which is def a first for me. Glad I tried it
vince_r
Noticeably firm the first few nights, tall side up, and I was honestly annoyed about it. Somewhere in week two I stopped waking up and checking my neck first thing in teh morning. Now I get why people like it. Great pillow.
pdunn
Coming from a down pillow this felt like a brick the first three or four nights and I nearly gave up. My wife said give it a week. Toward the end of that week it stopped feeling hard and started feeling like support, and I quit waking up at four with my neck. Two months in it's held its shape. Wish it started a little softer, but good pillow.
Morncrest replied
Coming off down is the biggest jump anyone makes to this pillow, so a brick for a few nights sounds right, Paul. Your wife gets the credit here.

pete_in_accounts
Team gift because I rub my neck in every meeting. Way better then the flat pillow I had, and they noticed I stopped lol
-
brittany.m
Slept through two alarms bc I'm not waking up every two hours on that lumpy old pillow anymore. Roommate thought it was hilarious
-
lily.tran
Cover washed once, still soft! Slept through the night lol
marge_o
Kept complaining until my daughter sent me the link. I'm 68, back sleeper, and I've been through more pillows than I can count. First one in years I haven't wanted to throw across the room. Keeping it!
-
megan_of_three
Took 4 days longer to arrive than it said, they were good about letting me know. Pillow is great, no more stiff neck at 6 am
Morncrest replied
Sorry about the extra four days, Megan, and thank you for being patient with us.
Claire, Team Morncrest
evan_ptr
Gym at 5 am, desk till 6, and my neck hated both. I'd been on a big soft pillow for years and never thought about it. Switched to this, tall side, back sleeper. First night felt strange, like my head was too far back. A few nights in I stopped noticing. A month later I wake up loose instead of stiff and my warmups are shorter. 10/10, no notes.
gpalmer
Few nights to get use to, low side. Worth it.
-
grammy_pat
I am 81 and have folded my pillow in half for as long as I can remember to get it high enough. First night on the taller side of this one I didn't fold anything. My grandchildren think it's funny how excited I am about a pillow.
-
benjy_r
My wife took this one because I was still asleep at half past six on a Saturday, which has not happened in about five years, and my daughter was standing there waiting for me to get up. I've carried two kids on the same shoulder for years and my neck was tight by dinner every night. $149 is a lot for a pillow, I said so at the time. Two weeks in I'm picking up the little one without wincing. Great product.
jbrandt
Almost a year on this now, low side up the whole time, and my neck stopped being an issue around the second week. Kinda wild since I woke up stiff most days before. Would recommend.
barback_leo
I bartend till 3 and sleep till noon. I'd come to around ten with my neck locked sideways and just lie there. Six weeks on this and I'm out till the alarm, no lock. Great buy!!
-
carly.m
Woke up before my alarm and just turned my head, no slow careful thing first. Still not used to that, def a good pillow
jess.mo
Side sleeper here, went low side. Ear doesn't get squished anymore and I quit flipping the pillow over all night. Def recommend!
-
jenn.w
For once I bought something for myself before anyone else in this house. My son took the picture from the doorway while I was making the bed, which is about the amount of help I get around here. I used to wake up with a stiff neck before my feet hit the floor, every morning at 6. About four days in that stopped and it hasn't come back. Now both teenagers want one and they can wait. Very happy with it.
kmoore_88
Read every review before buying and what I didn't expect was how much it takes a few nights. First night I hated it. By the weekend I was sleeping through and now, a month in, I'd fight someone for it lol
-
dorothy_ann
Checked the stitching first, I sewed forty years and it would pass at my old shop. Chair naps used to leave a crick. Not on this
jd_roofs
Roofing crew, up at 4:30, hard side sleeper. Old pillow was two folded over bc one was never enough. First thing that keeps my shoulder from jamming up into my ear. Three months in and it hasn't budged.
hank_builds
Not the cheap stuff, you can tell when you pick it up, the foam is heavy and dense. Doesn't sleep hot either, def a keeper!
jjsanchez
Tall guy, side sleeper. Every pillow I've owned was too flat so I'd stack two and they'd slide apart by 3 am. This one, tall side up, is the first single pillow that gets my head level with my shoulders. Felt too firm at first and I kept reaching for the second pillow. Two weeks in I'm on one pillow like a normal person, no more pull down the side of my neck. works for tall people, dont know why more don't
annie.cho
Faint rubber smell for the first couple days, and I'm sensitive to that stuff so it bugged me. Aired out fine. The pillow's a keeper, low side, and my shoulder doesn't ache when I turn over anymore.
Morncrest replied
Sorry it bugged you, Annie, a sensitive nose makes those first days harder. A quiet shoulder in the morning is what we want to hear.
Claire, Team Morncrest
-
j_whitaker
Old pillows let my head sink and tip. Not this one! Woke up night 3 in the same spot I fell asleep, definately a keeper
bud_k
I hate most things I buy online. This one's fine. Better than fine, actually. Keep the tall side up if you sleep on your back.
nightowl_kat
overnight nurse, sleep during the day w/ blackout curtains. first pillow that keeps my head still when I toss!
-
mari.s
Carrying a toddler on one hip all day had my neck and shoulder wrecked by bedtime and my old down pillow just let my head sink. This one holds it up. About a week in and ngl I wake up before she does with no crunch when I turn
gmartin72
Second one I've bought from Morncrest, this one's for the cabin so I stop hauling mine back and forth. Same good sleep.
ryan_ak
Only knock is the cover. It's snug, and getting it zipped back on after a wash took two of us and some swearing. The pillow under it is excellent though, side sleeper and I'm sleeping through for the first time in a while.
Morncrest replied
Two people and some swearing is more than it should take, Ryan. Fold the pillow lengthwise and start the zipper at the corner and it goes on solo. Sleeping through is the part that matters.
Rachel, Team Morncrest
mika.rn
Firm but my neck likes it. 10/10
-
grandma_jo
My daughter ordered this for me. I'm 78, sleep on my side, and every feather pillow I've owned goes flat under my ear inside a month. This one is still the shape it was the night it came. Told my sister to get one.
greg_nn
Firmer than any pillow I've owned, and I bought it knowing that. Still a shock the first night. It's grown on me and my neck's definately better, but if you like sinking into a pillow this isn't that.
Morncrest replied
That's the most accurate line on this page, Greg. It holds you up instead of letting you sink, and it's built to stay that way.
Rachel, Team Morncrest

catdad_ollie
Biscuit approves obviously!! My arm used to go dead under my old pillow at 3 am. Not anymore, slept straight through all week
zoe_tt
Stomach sleeper here and it kinda trained me onto my side. Neck's happier for it lol
sunita_p
Gift for my dad who's had a stiff neck since roughly forever. He called me a week later to say he'd slept straight through, and he doesn't call about anything. So there's my review!
hbaird
It's firm and it isn't cheap, so there's your downside. Had it about six months. I sleep on my back, mostly on the lower side, and no more stiff mornings, it's just not something I think about now. My mother in law slept on it one night when she visited and ordered one before she went home. Give it a full week before you decide, the first nights feel different. Good pillow.
-
judy_m
My daughter got this for me after a year of listening to me complain. I read in bed then sleep on my back, and my old pillow would drop my head the minute the book went down. Now I wake up where I fell asleep and my neck is fine.
shanice.b
LOVE THIS PILLOW. Zero regrets!
carla_dm
My son is sixteen and lives hunched over a laptop or a controller, and he'd been complaining about his neck for months. First night he said it was too hard. A few nights later I noticed he'd stopped rolling his head around at breakfast. Two months on he uses the tall side every night and hasn't asked for his old pillow back. His friend stayed over last weekend and asked where we got it, so I guess that's the teenage version of a five star review. Shipping was quicker then the estimate too. Good product, happy with it.
dbrennan
My mom is 74 and picky about everything. She's kept this one on her bed since last winter, and she doesn't keep anything.
elaine_rs
Emailed to ask where my order was and got an answer that morning. Still took most of two weeks and smelled a bit rubbery the first day, gone now. Foam is dense and a month in my neck stays straight. Good pillow, wanted it sooner.
Morncrest replied
We wanted it with you sooner too, Elaine. Thanks for judging the pillow on its own once it got there.
Claire, Team Morncrest
stu_mcd
It's hard. My wife tried it one night and went back to her feather pillow. I stuck with it, tall side, and after ten days or so it quit feeling hard and felt like support instead. 4 stars.
Morncrest replied
Ten days from hard to supportive is about the usual arc, Stu. If your wife wants to try again, the low side is the softer feeling start.
Ben, Team Morncrest

heather_j
Twenty years of side sleeping and I have tried every pillow shape there is. This one is firmer than anything I've used so I went with the lower edge. First few nights were an adjustment. About a week in my shoulder stopped burning when I roll over, which used to wake me two or three times a night. Old pillow is still on the bed but only for reading, it's not getting slept on again. Sleeping through now :)
jodie_m
Smelled kind of rubbery when I unpacked it, put it by the window for two days and it was gone. Otherwise realy nice pillow.
Morncrest replied
Two days by the window is the fix, Jodie, and we're glad you gave it that. Thanks for the four stars and the honest note.
Ben, Team Morncrest
rachel.ny
I never write these but I've had this pillow almost a year and I keep recommending it so I might as well put it somewhere. Side sleeper, short, and I'd been through probably eight pillows in five years. Feather ones went flat, foam ones were too tall. A friend from work let me try hers, that's how I decided. Bought the light gray. First week my neck felt a little worked, not amazing. Second week it settled and I stopped thinking about it. Cover's been washed a dozen times and still fits, foam's the same height. Ok that's the review, it's a good pillow, buy it :)
-
avaaa
My roommate keeps asking about the weird pillow. Came 3 days late (they emailed me about it) but my laptop neck is so much better!
Morncrest replied
Sorry about the three days, Ava. Tell your roommate the weird pillow comes in gray too.
Claire, Team Morncrest
garrett_o
Stinks a bit at first, not gonna pretend otherwise. Left it on the porch for an afternoon and that took care of it. Beyond that it's a really well made pillow and my necks been fine for a month.
Morncrest replied
The porch for an afternoon is the best fix we've heard, Garrett. Thanks for not pretending otherwise.
Rachel, Team Morncrest
flipflop_fran
Combo sleeper, I flip from back to side all night and most pillows end up on the floor. This one stays put and kinda works whichever way I land. About a month in and I'm sold!
nikki.sanders
LOVE IT. Bought the blue one and it looks so much nicer than the picture. Neck is doing great!
vera_lund
There was a rubbery smell the day it arrived and it took two days by an open window to go away. Delivery was slow too, closer to two weeks than one, so plan for that. I asked about both and got a quick answer with no runaround. The pillow is good quality. Firm, and on my side my neck's better than it was on the old one. I'd order it again, I'd just order it earlier than I need it.
Morncrest replied
Fair is all we ask, Vera. Order it earlier than you need it is advice we'll pass along.
Claire, Team Morncrest
tomsleeps
great pillow, neck's fine now
jules_k
I'm a nurse on twelve hour shifts, days and nights mixed. Side sleeper, low side, I'm small. For close to a year I'd wake with my neck so stiff I'd turn my whole body to look at the clock. Someone at work posted about this so I tried it. It's firm, I'll be honest, and those first nights I wasn't sure. But inside two weeks the morning stiffness was maybe half, and after the first month it was mostly gone. It's been four months. It hasn't softened or flattened. The cover unzips and washes easy which matters when you work in a hospital. I don't say this about much but this was money well spent.
jt_okafor
Arrived in a week and the packaging was nice. Pillow's firmer than a regular one. Back sleeper, high side, zero complaints rn
-
kelseyy
Ok so I run hot. Fan on the floor all year, toss and turn for an hour most nights, so I figured a foam pillow would make it worse and almost didn't order. First night I was out in like ten minutes and my boyfriend thought I was faking it. It does not sleep hot, I still dont fully understand why. Two weeks now and I'm not tossing around anymore. Sooo glad I ignored my own doubts on this one, great pillow
cam_dwyer
I've had this about five months and figured I should come back and say something. Side sleeper, high side of the pillow. I'd gotten used to waking up with my shoulder jammed and my neck tight on one side. I'd just stretch it out in the shower and go. That quit maybe two weeks in and hasn't returned. Foam is exactly as firm as it was new. Great pillow, and Morncrest answered my one question fast.
shortstack_em
I'm short and picked the tall side first because I figured more support is better. Wrong, my chin was jammed down. Flipped it low and it's been great since! Wish the site pushed that harder for smaller people.
Morncrest replied
You called it, Em. The height note under Specs says the same, low side for shorter frames, so the next person can skip the rough week.
Claire, Team Morncrest
sam_wu
Idk what to say other then it works. Neck was a mess from years of hunching over a laptop and it's not anymore.
-
maddie.l
same person, different week. im 5 foot 2 and went with the low side after the tall side felt like a step up. took a few nights but my neck lines up right now without me shoving the pillow around all night. still love it
karen.dp
Bought it for my husband who snores like a truck. Not a snoring pillow, but he says his neck feels better and I'll take it.
emmalouise
Not gonna lie, first couple nights felt weird, too firm. Then it clicked. Haven't looked back :)
dwight_l
Warning, it smells like a tire shop when you open the bag. I stuck it in the spare room with the window open and after two days it was fine, but nobody told me that. Everything else is good. Dense foam, nice cover, and I'm a back sleeper who wakes up in the same position I fell asleep in now. The smell cost it a star.
Morncrest replied
Tire shop is a fair description of day one, Dwight. That's the natural rubber before it airs out, and two days with a window open is exactly right. Looking at the ceiling is the whole idea.
Ben, Team Morncrest

sarah.b
I do bookkeeping from the kitchen table and the laptop had my neck stiff by lunch every day. Wasn't expecting much from a pillow tbh but by the end of the first week I was getting to dinner without rubbing my neck. Great buy
kyle.dz
Neck stopped cracking when I turn my head lol
newdad_ry
New baby in the house so I sleep in two hour chunks, on my side, usually w/ one arm dead. Whatever sleep I do get on this doesn't come with a neck ache on top of it and right now that's worth a lot.
hollis_j
Year two and still holding up great!!
-
plantmom_kate
So this pillow has moved out of the bedroom and onto my couch. I design with the laptop on my knees most of the day and my neck and shoulders would be one tight knot by mid afternoon from hunching, and it would hang around till dinner. My sister has had one for a year and kept bringing it up so I finally ordered one mostly to get her to stop. First couple nights it felt kinda hard compared to my old squishy pillow. Then somewhere in the first week the afternoon knot just wasn't showing up. Now I nap on it after lunch with the throw blanket and it's been a couple weeks without it. My sister knows she was right and I have to live with that tbh.
ellie_gs
Bought this for my mom, 71, who sleeps on her side and has complained about her neck at every family dinner since I was a kid. I picked Midnight Blue because it's her color. Set it up for her and she said it felt hard. I told her to stick with it a week. She texted me a few days in to say she'd slept all night. It's been about three months and she's still on it every night. Cover washes fine, according to her. I asked Morncrest about the two heights before ordering and they got back to me the same day. Great gift.
-
han.rae
Cramming on a laptop all day had my neck tight and my shoulders up by my ears by late afternoon. Felt kinda hard the first two nights, then I stopped noticing, and the afternoons are fine now. Dorm mattress is bearable too, 10/10
tdawson_travels
Slept on it in a hotel bed for a week because I brought it with me, that's how much I like it. Fits in a carry on if you squish it a little. Neck stayed fine the whole trip. Hotel pillows usually wreck me!!
tara_lynn
Sent my sister the link bc she's had the same flat pillow since college. Mine's been perfect for most of a year now.
-
maddie.l
Came home from seminar, lay down in my jeans for one minute, and my roommate took this an hour later apparently. Grad school reading has my neck sooo stiff by evening, even a nap in my clothes on this loosens it up. Great pillow
chrissy.b
smaller than i pictured but that's a good thing, it doesn't push my shoulders up. side sleeper, i keep it low.
liftwithlou
Lift four mornings a week. Neck was always my sore spot after. Not since this one, kinda wish I'd found it sooner.
lexi.rose
got the light gray, matches my sheets. more importantly I dont wake up at 3 with my neck bent sideways anymore
-
RonS
Retired last year and figured the neck would get better. It got worse. On my old pillow my head fell back and I'd wake up sore at the base of the skull. A few nights on this and I wake up looking at the ceiling, nothing sore
renee_p
Solid quality. Cover washes up nice.
-
LindaMarie
No more waiting a minute to turn my head at the alarm!
nadia_kh
The pillow is great. The delivery was not. Tracking sat on one status for over a week and I ended up messaging Morncrest on Instagram. Someone answered fast and the box landed on day eleven. Side sleeper here, low side. Neck's been noticeably better the month I've had it. One star off for the wait.
Morncrest replied
A tracking page that sits still for a week is maddening and we're sorry you had to chase it, Nadia. Instagram is the fastest way to reach us, so thank you for using it.
Rachel, Team Morncrest
kate_ferris
Got my dad this for Christmas, he's 79 and sleeps on his back in a recliner half the time. He was polite about it and I assumed it'd end up in the closet. Called me in February to say he's been sleeping in the actual bed again because his neck doesn't bother him on it. Then my mom wanted one. So now they each have one and I get texts about it. Good gift, better than a sweater.
chels_b
GUYS. I have not slept this well in literally years. Got the Midnight Blue, it looks great, and my neck's finally not the reason I wake up. Ordering one for my mom next <3
ines.q
Long time side sleeper and I've never once had a pillow at the right height. Either my head's tipped up or it's hanging off. Went low side here and it's the closest I've come. Took most of a week to stop adjusting it. Two months now and nothing about it has changed. Neck is quiet in the mornings, which is all I wanted!!
-
DaveP
Ten years on that flat thing. $159 is a lot for a pillow but second morning I woke up looking at the ceiling, neck loose. Worth it
jlee_88
sleeping through the night again!
jared_finch
So I bought this off a video of some guy explaining why regular pillows tip your head back. Made sense. Been on it a month, on my back, tall side, and my head stays where I left it. Really good pillow, def worth it!
devon_rk
Desk job, neck is done by 5 most days. After about a month on this I make it to dinner without touching my neck. Love it!!
mattandjules
Ordered the pair, one for me and one for my wife. She's a side sleeper, likes it low. I'm on my back on the high side. Took about a week and now neither of us is rubbing our neck in the morning. Easy call tbh
laurie_bee
Ordered on a Monday and it showed up nine days later, I was hoping for faster. Once it got here, great. My husband, back sleeper, and his morning grumbling has stopped. 4 stars.
Morncrest replied
Nine days is longer than we like too, Laurie, and thank you for the patience. Tell your husband the grumbling is missed by nobody.
Ben, Team Morncrest
colin_w
Took two weeks to get here which was longer than I hoped. Pillow's good though. High side, back sleeper, mornings are easier.
Morncrest replied
Two weeks is longer than we want anyone waiting, Colin, sorry about that. Glad the mornings are easier.

Smells like rubber the first week, had natural rubber stuff before so I expected it and it went away. So did my crick. Good pillow
Morncrest replied
Thanks for the straight talk, Frank.

Update after a month like I said. I run a night crew at a warehouse and sleep from about 4 am until noon. With the old squashed pillow I'd wake up around 11 with my neck jammed and lie there listening to the neighbors mow. On this I sleep the whole stretch and wake up when the alarm goes off instead of when my neck decides. If you work nights I'd recommend this one. Still the same shape after a month.
marcus_v
Kinda thought it was a gimmick. A month in on the tall side and no stiff mornings anymore. Would recommend!
-
amanda.lou
Delivery was slow, three days late, and of course it was the week both kids were home. They did reach out before I had to ask. I've flipped my pillow every night since college and the first night on this I didn't once. Really good
Morncrest replied
Three days late in the one week both kids were home is bad timing and we're sorry, Amanda. Not flipping the pillow once is the best line in this review.
Ben, Team Morncrest

Put off buying this for like six months, kinda dumb in hindsight. Then I added up how many cheap pillows I'd bought and thrown out and just ordered it. Back sleeper, I run it low side up, and I'm a light sleeper, I wake up if the pillow so much as shifts. This one doesn't shift. It's dense and the head part cradles you so you're not rolling off. There's a little vent in the middle so the back of my head doesn't get sweaty. Took maybe five nights to feel normal. It's been three months and it's the best thing I've bought for my sleep. My wife says I've stopped flopping around too. Still feels brand new. No regrets.
pat_gilmore
Shipping took twelve days and I was refreshing the tracking every morning. Messaged Morncrest on Instagram and they answered fast. Pillow is great, back sleeper and the mornings are easier. Wish it had gotten here sooner.
Morncrest replied
Twelve days is a long time to watch a tracking page, Pat, and we're sorry it ran that long. Thank you for messaging instead of just waiting it out.

The two old pillows are at the foot of the bed waiting for the trash and yes we kept them way too long. I bought the first one back in March for myself, $139, because I sleep on my side and had been waking up rubbing my neck for about a year. My husband is a back sleeper and swore he didn't need anything. Within a week he was stealing it whenever I got up first. So I ordered him his own, shipping was about a week which was faster than I expected. We've had both for a couple weeks and neither of us wakes up rubbing anything. Highly recommend Morncrest, great quality, and my husband will not admit he was wrong but he uses it every night.

My wife bought this for me for my birthday and I was mildly insulted, like, a pillow? Then I slept on it. I'm a big guy, side sleeper, amd every pillow flattens under me in a few weeks. This one hasn't budged in four months. It's tall enough that my shoulder isn't jammed up under my jaw all night. I didn't even know that was the problem. Not a review guy but she asked me to write one. Great product.

One star off because it showed up three days late in a week when both kids had something every night, so the timing was bad. To be fair, Morncrest support emailed me about the delay before I'd noticed and checked in until it arrived, which I appreciated. The pillow is firmer than I'm used to, took a night to adjust. I'd been waking up around 3 with a sore neck for months and that has mostly stopped.
Morncrest replied
Three days late in a week like that is exactly when a delay hurts most, Brooke, and we're sorry. The firmness takes a night or two for almost everyone. Good to hear the three am wake ups have mostly stopped.

update after eight months because i said i would. still firm, height hasn't changed, no dip where my head sits. side sleeper, tall side up for me. the cover's gone through the wash a bunch of times on cold and it's fine, a little softer than new. my neck hasn't been why i wake up since the first month. still happy with morncrest
mel_bradley
Ordered thinking I'd use the tall side, ended up flipping to the low one after a few rough nights. Fine now, just wish I'd known.
Morncrest replied
Fair point, Mel. The height note under Specs covers which side suits which frame, and the Your side tab has the side sleeper answer if anyone else is deciding. Glad the low side sorted it.

I do hair so my neck and both shoulders are wrecked by closing. Was skeptical, I've tried a couple of these shaped pillows before. This one is way denser. Four months and I'm not icing my neck on Sundays anymore lol
dana_hutch
Bought two, Midnight Blue for me and Light Gray for my husband bc we were both waking up cranky. He's on his back and likes the tall side. I'm on my side, low side up. Six weeks in and we haven't complained about our necks once, and we complain about everything tbh. Had a question before ordering and got a normal human answer the same day. Good pillow, good people.

I frame houses and sleep on my side, by Friday my neck was shot from the flat pillow I kept folding. Rubber smell out of the box, natural rubber does that, gone in days. Neck is fine on Fridays now. Five stars except the smell
Morncrest replied
That first week smell is the rubber airing out and nothing more, Nate. Framing all week and a neck that's fine on Friday is the whole point.

Really firm at first, ngl I almost gave up. A week later I can't go back to my old one, sooo glad I kept it
wren.h
Sooo much better than the memory foam one I had, that one went hard in winter and soft in summer. This stays the same. Low side for me, I sleep sideways, and my ear isn't crushed in the morning anymore.
owen.tk
I'm a stomach sleeper, or was. This pillow isn't built for that and it kind of pushed me over onto my side. Everyone kept telling me to do that anyway. Neck's way better for it. Two weeks to adjust, def worth it!

Warehouse night shift so I get to bed around 4 am and scroll a bit first. On my old pillow I'd prop my head up and my neck was kinda sore before I even fell asleep. This one holds it up by itself. Five days in, no ache so far

steve_o
Set it up the night it finally arrived, four days later than promised. They did message me first about the delay and kept me updated, still wish it had come on time. Back sleeper, morning stiffness gone after a few nights
Morncrest replied
Four days past the promise is four too many, Steve, and we're sorry. We want the box on time next time, not just explained.

Read a whole chapter before dinner, no neck ache

rosemary_b
Read in bed and still wake up fine. That is new at 72.
theo_v
Got this after my old one gave me a crick that lasted a whole week. Back sleeper, tall side for me, and after some getting used to it I don't wake up needing to stretch my neck out first thing. Really glad I bought it :)
quietsleeper
wasnt sure about the size, it's a bit narrower than a normal pillow. but i don't move around much so it doesn't matter. neck feels supported instead of bent. two weeks, would buy again.
pj_walsh
honestly didnt expect much. neck's been stiff every morning for like two years and I figured that was just age now. ten days on it and I roll out of bed and just go. still kinda shocked
paulie_d
Washed the cover on cold and it came out fine, no shrinking. Pillow's held up great too, going on seven months.

t_ramirez
Firmer then I expected the first couple nights but it settled. My neck doesnt feel wrung out after a shift now, def keeping it
jill_okane
I wish I'd read more carefully. I'm on the shorter side and I started tall side up because that's how it sat in the bag, and I spent a week thinking the pillow was wrong for me. Then I flipped it. The low side is exactly right and I've slept through most nights since. So, four stars, and maybe a bigger label on which side is which would help the next person.
Morncrest replied
That week is on us, not you, Jill. The Your side tab on the page has the which side answer for anyone deciding, and you can always message us on Instagram before the first night.

Traps loose in the morning, no neck rolls needed! 10/10
debs_51
I went back and forth on this one. Back sleeper, in my fifties, and I'd been on the same squishy pillow for ten years. It arrived firm. Not a little firm. Those first two or three nights I woke up more, not less, and nearly swapped back. I'd read that it takes a week so I gave it that. By Sunday I was sleeping the night and a week after that I couldn't stand the old pillow. It's been six weeks now. Neck is better than it's been in years and the pillow hasn't softened one bit. Four stars because that first week is rough and I wish I'd known how rough. Would still buy it.
Morncrest replied
You're right that the first week is rough, Deb, and thank you for pushing through it and writing the long version.

Best sleep in years, no joke.

ngl six months and it hasn't changed shape
walt_r
Six months on it and it still feels like the first night. Great product, good company!

White one is my husband's, not switching yet. Side sleeper on the lower edge, my ear quit folding under me after a few nights
napqueen_ari
been using it at my desk for lunch naps too, not just at night. sounds ridiculous but twenty minutes on this beats the hour i used to lose to a stiff neck after napping on my arm. great product!
priyanka_s
Got one for my brother, now his wife wants one too haha
ollie_b
Eight weeks in. It's firm, firmer than the photos make it look, and coming off a soft pillow I wasn't sure about it those first few nights. Back sleeper, lower side. Somewhere in the second week the stiff slow mornings just stopped and they haven't come back. The cover zips off and washes fine. Would buy again!
trev_h
Way firmer than I expected, almost sent a message about it. Glad I waited, it felt right after a week or so. Four stars.
Morncrest replied
The first week surprises a lot of people, Trev. It holds its shape instead of sinking, so it reads as firm until your neck settles in. Happy it clicked by week two.
Claire, Team Morncrest
big_ben_h
Side sleeper with wide shoulders and every pillow I've tried sinks halfway through the night. This one doesn't. Fought it early on, now I'm out cold till the alarm. Def get the high side if you're broad.

gregory_t
Only complaint is the smell when you first open it. It's a natural rubber smell, I've had natural rubber before and it's always like that, and it aired out in a few days. Otherwise very happy. I sleep on my back and my old pillow let my head tip backwards so I'd wake up with a sore neck most days. On this one my head stays level. About ten days in and no sore mornings so far. Good quality, would recommend.
Morncrest replied
You described it better than our own page does, Gregory. Level head, no sore mornings, that's the goal.

First wash and the cotton cover came out soft.

Fits a standard pillowcase, for anyone wondering.

Four stars because of the rubber smell out of the bag. Natural rubber always smells like that, gone in a couple days. I sleep on my side and my ear used to fold under me at night. Doesn't happen on this one
Morncrest replied
The smell out of the bag is the natural rubber and you called it exactly right, Nina, a couple of days and it's gone. Happy the ear problem went with it.

Five months in, hasn't flattened one bit. Still sleeping great on it!
h_pruitt
Took the full twelve days to get here. I was checking tracking more than I'd like to admit. It smelled rubbery the first couple of days, even by the window. The pillow is well made. Firm, holds its shape, my neck feels supported on my back. I emailed twice about the shipping and got a real answer both times, quick and polite. Three stars for the wait and the smell, the pillow would get more.
Morncrest replied
Twelve days is the ceiling of what we quote and we'd rather never touch it, so thank you for the patience and the two emails.

dougie_r
The cover's a tight fit, took some wrestling to get it back on after washing. Pillow itself is great, no issues sleeping!
Morncrest replied
Fold the pillow in half, zip the bottom first and let it open up inside the cover, Doug, it goes on solo that way. Thanks for the four.
Ben, Team Morncrest

Wife stole it. Ordering another lol
ashlyn.k
no more waking up with a crick, finally
len_baxter
Back sleeper, 62, and I've woken up with my head cranked back since forever. On this my head stays put and mornings are a different thing. Should've bought it when I first saw it.
gene_k
Second winter coming up on this pillow. Still the same height, no sag in the middle, and the cover's been washed more times than I can remember. My old one was dead in six months. $169 back then and worth it. Good quality.

I'm an electrician, out the door at 5 every morning, so sleep is kind of everything for me. Most of last year I was waking up around 2 with my neck kinked and lying there doing the math on how many hours I had left. My wife found this one and honestly I gave it maybe a 20 percent chance. I sleep on my back so I used the lower side, the tall one was too much lift for me. First night I woke up once. Second night not at all. My wife says I haven't moved since lights out. Not even three weeks in and these are the first full nights of sleep I've had in months!! If you sleep on your back and get up early, try the low side and give it a few nights.
-
cody_w
Same pillow for a decade and by 2 am my head was on the mattress. $169 for a pillow felt crazy tbh. But it's still the exact shape it was the first night and I haven't punched it back up or folded it in half once. Fine, worth it
bri_leigh
the vent thing in the middle actually works, my head doesnt get sweaty like it did on the foam one before.
-
rn_alyssa
I work nights so I sleep when the whole neighborhood is awake and loud. For years I bunched two pillows together and still woke up at noon with a stiff neck. Honestly the first two days on this I almost sent it back, it felt way too firm. Glad I didn't. Somewhere around the end of the first week I was getting six hours straight, no bunching, no crick. Great product. Still sleeping through the lawn mowers rn

dev_marcus
Back sleeper. My old pillow let my head tip so far back I'd wake up with my chin in the air. Not cheap at $149 but it got to my apartment in under a week and my neck has been fine since the first few nights. Would buy again tbh
chris_edd
For the side sleepers asking which side, I'm 5'9 and the low side was too flat for me, the tall side is perfect. My wife is shorter and uses the low side. So it kinda depends on your shoulders more than anything.
roberto.m
real talk, expensive pillow. but i paid $159 and i'd pay it again, neck's been fine for three months.
